will 2016 14″ sp rims fit on a base model sportsman?

interested in getting a set of 14" sp wheels to upgrade the look of my new 16 sportsman 570 touring…..saw some info that a SP model cant use 12" steel wheels….curious if there would be an issue the other way? can i put SP stock rims on my 570 EPS

would you value the stock EPS wheels any more/less than ones for sale (aftermarket)?/?

i see factory rims for sale if you search hard enough…..prices range from $400-600….i dont see anyone buying

570v850v450 questions

So I plan on purchases a new wheeler within then next month im torn on a couple things I’d pretty much decided on the 570 eps but not sue how it do turning 27" mud lites so then the 850 but Polaris website doesn’t list power steering for the 850? But then looking the the 450 ho and 570 can u get ebs ion the 570 not interested in the sp as I like the 12" tires are almost identical and some guys say the 450 does fine with bigger tires price is a concern but not the only deciding factor the other option is "gasp" a Honda foreman rubicon as it offers independent rear suspension a third headlight and engine breaking but I realize this is a Polaris forum mostly riding in wv but there’s gnarly hill climbs and mud but has to be tame enough for the wife to ride once in a while biggest thing does the 570 still have heat issues and a crappy seat mount no way I’m spending money and fixing defects right away hence the Honda option thanks everybody

Temperature at plug on a 400x

I recently installed my trail tech vapor computer. I used the supplied temp sensor which is a washer connected to a wire. The washer replaces your spark plug washer. My question is I reached 389 degrees the other day riding. Going hard hill climbing too. Is that too high? The quad is not excessively hot, according to my leg lol, no glowing pipe either.

Atv gps

Lot of hand held gps units for us on offshore and atvs but are there any designed to wire into your bikes 12v system that are color. . Permanent mount?

Which ones do you guys like and which ones are a good bang for the buck.

TRX350FM2, seized rear brake drum

First posting on this forum.
Rear brake drum is seized after ATV was allowed to setup subsequent to wet ride. ATV is on Jack stands. Front axle turns but rear axle will not turn (even slightly) if I try to rotate the left side tire. Have removed tire/wheel and hub plus disconnected both cables and moved lever to full open position. Lever is not free but can be moved back and forth by tapping with mallet. Tapping drum has had no effect.

I have a very difficult time getting it back in to park. It goes in and out of every other gear just fine. I really have to play with the shifter to finally get it to go in to park.. Any suggestions on whats wrong?

1994 fourtrax300 hard starting when cold

This is the only quad I have ever worked on, and haven’t worked on a motorcycle in 35 years.

Rebuilt the carb a couple of years ago and it starts and runs great when the engine is warm or it is warm to hot outside air temperature. However, in the winter, I have a hard time getting the engine to start and stay running. The engine will require full choke to start when it is cool outside (40-60 F) When cold, (below 40F) it takes repeated start attempts, and even then the engine runs at very low rpm and dies. If I try to accelerate with throttle, engine immediately dies. I must repeatedly start the engine until eventually it gets warm enough to idle, then I’m in business.

I have the carb off now to install a new primer assembly that was leaking and thought I would adjust something if need be why I have it off.

Any suggestions on carb adjustment or just cold weather operation would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark
