For those interested in a June Ride, these parks are located in Illinois. I’ve attached the website to all 4 choices. If you choose other, post a preference of when and where.

86 TRX350 with stuck valve

Well I finally found a decent early TRX350 A model. Original one owner, it has been rolled but looks 99% complete. Owner says it won’t run and has no compression.
So i followed the sage advice provided in this forum and the repair manual–found one of the intake valves has a noticeable gap with the rocker arm. Looks like a head removal is now needed; debating now how much of the repair i want to do!

2002 Sportsman 500 HO Wiring Harness Swap

I bought a 2002 Sportsman 500 HO that had a minor fire near the radiator area. Nothing much was damaged except a portion of the wiring harness.
I was given an extra wiring harness when I purchased it. Only thing is it’s off a 2002 Sportsman 400. It doesn’t appear to have the same harness, close but not exactly. Can anyone offer any assistance in fitting that harness to this machine or will I have to look for one specifically for the 500. Also if that’s the case how can I find the part number for the wiring harness. I’ve looked high and low and can’t come up with a Part #.
Thank you for the help….

Gearing

What type of gearing are you guys running flat sand drags. Got some head work from Ron woods dual pipes high comp piston and 22in 10 cup paddles. I know it’s different with each wheeler. But I couldn’t seem to really pull away from 450s today. I can’t start in second because it likes to sputter in second gear till I feather it out. Just trying to get a ballpark front and rear sprocket set up. 1st gear was pretty much useless had to shot out of it right away.

Atv pull and rejetting

Ok so I have a Polaris sportsman 400 ho (2013) and I had wondering if you guys could help me out with this atv pull I really don’t know what to do I made a bet with one of my dads friends that if I beat his Suzuki eiger that he would install my HMF Titian XL exhaust and rejet it for free so any tips their would help a lot. And also for rejetting the bike it is completely stock and I will only be adding the HMF exhaust and was wondering if you guys could tell me if the jet kit from HMF would work and if not what I should buy and if u really want to help what jets I should use. So thanks for helping and sorry I made this so long.

Starter solenoid

Question on the Starter solenoid. I drew on the picture as I was not sure if all is correct. The big red wire from the battery is hot. The little medium thick red wire from the fuse box is hot. This seems correct. But here is what is puzzling me. The little white wire with the red strip is hot. When this white wire is connected to the starter solenoid it energizes the yellow wire through the solenoid. Is this supposed to happen? See picture for my notes.

Ignition power wire question

I have a 2000 Traxter 500 that I bought and have been working on. It currently does not run but I am trying to solve that as I have several issues. But the one that I would like some input on is the ignition wiring. I bought a new ignition switch and hooked it up. It did not work so I pulled all the tape off the wiring harness so I can see the wires. I see that the new ignition plug has three wires and one is a green wire. This new plug plugs into a connector in the harness. The wire is then red with a stripe coming out that matches up to the green. The previous owner had this disconnected and I am not sure where it is supposed to connect to in the sea of wires in the harness. I think I found what looks like the correct spot in a factory splice. Can you look at the picture and let me know if this is where I should splice this red wire back into the harness. The wires at this spot are always hot when I put a tester on them.

Brake Drum Cover dust seal

I have a ’97 TRX300FW 4×4… I’m currently replacing bearing and seal(s) on the rear brake back panel/plate… Parts are ordered (haven’t arrived yet). Everything is going fine, I got axle out, I got bearing and seal pressed out of back panel/plate and everything.

However I can’t figure out how remove the dust seal from the brake drum cover!!! lol I done tore it all up, and now thinking I should punch it out via the 4 holes on the inside cover. I’ve tapped on it a bit, but thought I’d ask before I damage the cover… So what’s the trick to remove this dust seal on the rear brake drum cover? lol tia

joined just to ask this question! ha

Rear wheel not spinning

So I noticed yesterday that my right rear wheel wasn’t spinning when I have it throttle. Checked rear diff fluid, it was low so topped it off. Seamed to work after that until today same thing. I noticed fluid leaking out of the seal where the axel goes into the diff. Topped off fluid again and gave throttle (on a stand) and both wheels spinning. Can the fluid leaking out leaving the diff low of fluid cause one of the wheels not to spin??
