G2 Rear Rack Handles for Passenger?

So we took the new G2 out for the first time this weekend. My girlfriend rides with me occasionally and tagged along for this trip.

She instantly noticed the rear rack on the G2 did not have a comfortable hand grip location like my G1 did.

The G1 has those big metal loops to hold onto. The G2 is covered in plastic.

Does anyone know if I can buy/make hand grips for a passenger on the G2? And no…I’m not buying a MAX :th_smiliethumbsup:

Driven Clutch Dead Horse

New here. I have a 1999 Magnum 500. I pulled both clutches. The rear, I thought, needed rollers. I removed the dowels and retaining springs in the bearing as it was skanked up looking, then I cleaned them and where they seat. I put them back in with regular grease and now it is a two-way clutch. How can I correct this folly? Do I need to clean it out and use Isoflex or what?

Once I get the drive spider off I have the same issue up front. It won’t idle in gear as the one-way isn’t spinning freely.

Read Diff noise 2015 Outlander 1000 XTp

I have a 2015 Outlander XTp with about 120miles.
I’ve been up on all the maintenance but the other day I had the gearbox engaged engine at a low RPM just to check things out on the drive train and it seems to be making too much racket. Sounds like gears meshing but a bit too pronounced for my liking. It seems load even when driving around.

I know people say said that these machines are known for their "special" noises" and it’s normal, but I am worried there might be an issue.

I checked the fluid and no metal shavings, nice and clean.

Just looking for another opinion on it, I posted a video link and pic of the fluid.

15 570 vs 16 570

Alright, I’m new here and registered just to ask these questions. To start, I’m looking to buy my first atv, I was considering the Sportsman 570, Kodiak 700
and the 16 rubicon 500. Now I’ve been doing tons of research, and right away I crossed out the Rubi (love the Honda reliability, can’t justify price).

After doing some price research, I had pretty much settled with the Yamaha, it was 1k more than the 570 both with EPS and it came with a winch, which I would’ve added on any atv I picked. BUT, I started to realize, for my purposes, camping, some trail riding the odd rip on some back roads, I really don’t need a pricey new quad or eps. And low and behold I’m looking around and a 2015 Sportsman with 225km pops up with a winch, used, at a dealership, AND on sale, a solid 1500 less than a new Popo. So the questions I have are:

1) Are the issues overblown on these machines? And has Polaris rectified them (before, after 15 model?)
2) I am concerned with how cheap the atv is, do they not hold value? Or should I be worried about there being issues.
3) Are the kinks worked out in the 16’s, I’d almost prefer to pay the 1500 for a peace of mind.

Also looking at a uses 2013 Rincon 680 if anyone knows how that may compare (not a serious contender until I get a price). Thanks guys and gals!!

Where is the Polaris made?

I just picked up a new 2016 Polaris Sportsman 570 Touring EPS.
I have the build date 3-16-16 but it says "Made In Canada" on the rear of the frame horizontal cross link.
I thought the manufacturing plant was in Roseau Minnesota or Mexico
All sold in the Northeast (I am in Pennsylvania) come from Minnesota and all sold in the Southwest U.S. come from Mexico.
I am confused why the one I have clearly says Made In Canada
Also am I correct that Polaris makes the engines here in the U.S. where in the past the engines were made in Japan by Robin, that also makes Subaru engines?
Please correct me if i’m wrong.

New from louisiana

Just picked up an old 660 from a guy for 1000. Not sure sure what year it is but it’s probably an 02-04. Has 4000 miles on the odo and I forgot what the hours was. It’s a total rust bucket but everything works aside from the 4×4 selector switch and the rear brake. I bought a new switch just waiting for some free time to change that out and I’ll have to play around with the brakes later as well. I plan on using it haul out deer in the fall and mud ride/tear up any other time of the year. I figured I’d purchase and (actually own) an old bike rather than clunk of 15k for an outlander only to tear it up. Future plans are as follows: change switch, pads, oil, snorkel/rad relocate, 2 inch lift, larger rear axles, 2mm shim, clutch spring, 29.5 outlaw2’s. This site seems to be the most informative and I keep finding myself back here when I do research so I’m finally joining up.
