New 2015 Polaris ETX with 130 miles on it. Almost day 1 with 20 miles on it had problem mostly after warmed up drove 10 or so miles. Shut it of and go to restart and it would fire run for second and shut down. After half a dozen tries it would start and run ok. Once it start runs prefect plenty of power no missing. Had it into the dealer under warranty, could find nothing, no codes. Did the same thing every time out since then. Getting more often this last weekend. Anyone with any idea’s what maybe causing it, or had anything like that happen to theirs?
I have a `15 800 outty. 800mi/50hrs. My riding is recreational only (unless I am taking it to work). It’s a mix of just about everything. I don’t go looking for deep mud and water but I do come across it. Already have new tires and skids.
1) It needs new brakes. Seems Race Driven is what to get. Should I replace to rotors as well? If so, I noticed Race Driven has the normal rotors that are cross drilled and their new ‘mudrat’ rotors that are solid stainless. Which ones?
2) Bushings. It seems recommended to replace them with the Garage Products ones. Should I wait until they are shot or just go ahead and do it (It would be nice to reduce the amount of greasing I need to do). If so, just the A arms? A arms and sway bar? or all of them including the shock mount bushings? How does one tell when they are truly ‘shot’?
Hey all! New to forum… Got myself a 2008 kodiak 450. But she needs new front brakes. Does anyone have any sites that are reliably cheap for pads?
Thanks!
My wife just purchased the SP570 SP with EBS & ADC. She was concerned with the engine braking so I took it for a ride and everytime I would let up on the throttle the ebs would grab strong as if I had applied the brakes. Going down a rocky hill with ebs made the machine handle terrible.
Both my ’05 sp500 & sp700 with ebs was never this aggressive, so I called the dealer and he said Polaris is using a different type of secondary clutch instead of the button type and due to the increased power over the 500 it has stronger engine braking. My wife also went down a hill only to find the rear end sliding to the front.
My question is, is this normal for the 570, or is there some type of adjustment that can be done to ease up the ebs.
Up for sale is a complete "Indy Red" plastic set removed from my 2012 Polaris XP850 ATV at 40-miles. I happened upon a really good deal on a set of black limited edition plastics shortly after buying my machine, so these got removed with next to no-miles and stored in the garage, out of the weather. There are no cracks, heavy abrasions or any defects otherwise. All told, this is over $1,000 in factory plastic through Ronnies Mail-order.com (discount OEM parts source), not including what would be a ridiculous amount for shipping. The only colored plastic piece that is missing from this set is the headlight pod, which is available through Ronnies for 75-bucks. I can’t imagine it will be cheap to ship as it will take two large boxes, so I’d prefer to sell to someone with driving distance. Would like to get $480 Please email for any other info.
I have a 2007 Grizzly 450 4X4. The sub frame is bent and I need to replace it. I found a sub frame for a 2008 grizzly 450 4X4 but it isn’t listed as compatible. The pictures look the same. Anyone know what the difference would be? Thank you.
