2013 Rancher Power steering

PS light on checked all connections and fuses all looked good put a battery charger on battery for a full charge cant see anything visually wrong called local dealer told me they normally will kick off if battery is low and he said there is a way to reset it but wouldnt tell me how of course they want the business. Does anyone know how to rest it? 420 rancher manual foot shift 4X4

Question on Differential Gear lash

I got a 98 Grizzly 600. There is a whine in the front differential. It is not there when its coasting so I thought I would check the gear lash and see if it is in spec. I didnt think it would help, but I changed the fluid just to see if it would help….. it didnt. It might be the bearings, I have not got into it yet, just trying to get my crap together before I do.

A couple questions about measuring the gear lash. In my CM it shows a diagram of where to measure the lash. It has a dimension "a", but it does not tell what this dimension should be. See image below. Notice that the dimension is NOT from the center of the shaft (like anyone would expect it to be). Anyone know what this dimension should be from the center of the shaft?

Also, is there someplace that I can buy a "shim pack" that will fit the factory gear assembly? The SM shows it here as item #3, but does not give a part number for it.

Front tires cambering

I would like to know your thoughts on why my front tires are cambering? I just swapped my stock 14s and 30" backs rims and tires to a 17" STI on 30" rocktanes for a trip to Tennessee. As soon as I lowered off the jack it was off, so I took it for a test drive and thought it might’ve just sat down funny, but that wasn’t the case. It’s still cambered….hmmm

Hey everyone, im Cameron. Im a nursing student at a local college, and i love anything that makes noise and goes fast. I am an aspie, and Jimmy johns wanted to hire me because i was born three months faster than everyone else.

I love semis and fast cars and airplanes.

I have a 87 TRX 250X my dad got my recently and its in working order, and runs, just never been maintained and regularly serviced.

87 Honda TRX 250X

Hello! I Cameron, im from Indiana, and my dad just bought me a 1987 Honda TRX 250X for doing well in college. Its a one owner but its never been maintained and never been regularly serviced. The oil is about as black as a cat on Halloween and the left front brake pad was nonexistent. However, it runs good, and only dropped about 25 psi in the cylinder. After tearing the plastic off and looking at it without disassembling the engine itself, my dad and i decided to get all new brakes, spindles, fuel line, air and oil filter and do the whole service and regular maintenance on it. After doing some reading online, i was wondering, exactly how good is the TRX’s? My dad rides all the time at my uncles farm, but im fairly new to riding and i was wondering what some of the quirks there was to them.

Newb in Need

Hello, I want to start with a warning that I am completely new to the world of atv and no absolutely nothing about them so at the risk of sounding special here it goes…….
So I just bought a used 2000 Sportsman 400 from a private sale, When he delivered it to my house he stated that if it didn’t go into gear to turn the idle down as he turned it up because it is winter and cold. When I bought it he drove it right into my garage, So yesterday I started it (5 days after I bought it) and it started right up, I put it into gear and pulled it out of my garage, I then parked it for a minute then put it in reverse to put it back into my garage, it seemed like it didn’t want to go into reverse because it seemed to be rev’d high. once in reverse it kind of drove itself backwards without any accelerator very very slowly. Now it is stuck in reverse and it will not go into neutral or drive. I am unable to find the idle screw to adjust it as I don’t know what I am looking at, I did many searches online but have had no luck. Does this sound like a problem that would occur from a high idle or would it be stuck in reverse for another reason? and does anyone have any links with a video or a pic showing what the idle screw looks like and is located? Do you have vector or gif images so i can print them??

I´m looking for:

DESS decal above air filter shroud.

Outlander 800R MAX decal in center pod, to the front.

ISS decals, as i added the integrated stealth snorkel which came with no stickers.

and any other for the side warnings and safety ones.
