97 Wolverine 350

I have a ’97 Wolverine that I am at my wits end with. I have read many threads and tried many things but still won’t rev and the head pipe is red hot. It has a K&N filter and full exhaust with no packing. Here’s a what I have tried.

Jetting:
Pilot Jet: 45
Fuel Screw: 1/2 turn to 4 turns
Main Jet: 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190
Needle: Stock with clip on 3 and 4

Notes. Increasing to a 45 pilot stopped all the popping. Doesn’t pop at all now but pipe is still bright red.

In addition to the carb changes I have adjusted the valves to .004 and .008 intake and exhaust. Changed out the cam chain and set the timing. The key on the flywheel is good. Checked the cam and rockers and they all look good. Unplugged the parking brake. Unplugged the reverse switch, grounded the reverse switch. Ran it filter on and filter off. Choke on and choke off. Hooked up an external fuel tank with fresh fuel. New spark plug. Plug tip is black. Nothing I have tried has made it rev out. Top speed is about 10 mph. I am open to any suggestions you may have. At this point I’m not sure there could be a bad idea unless it’s about tire pressure or grips or something. Thanks in advance. Not sure what else to try.

1986 Honda 250 Fourtrax

We have a 1986 250 Fourtrax we are selling that was passed down to our family from our parents. It is in great condition and runs great also. The electric start does not work- sure it is the starter motor and the front brake master has never worked since new. It has large front and rear factory racks. Can someone give us a ballpark figure on what it’s worth? We are selling everything to fund missionary work. Thanks!
