Quiet slip on spi vs hmf ss

Looking flr a difinitive answer from somebody who has heard both the SPI and HMF Swamp series (NOT the xl). Which is quieter. Yes I saw the thread where the spi was actually metered within the common 96db rule.

I have a yoshi slip on which is terribly not trail friendly…even after i modofied the quiet core a bit my XMR 1000 still sounds like an sk modofied barreling through the woods.

Threw the stock exhaust on and well, i thought my seat and rear fender were going to melt, even with my header wrapped and tuner on it. So i need something with better flow without the sonic boom of the yoshi, and still be under 96db at cruising speed. All my research says spi or swamp series.

Clutches for Renegade 1000Xxc

Looking for advice on clutches for a Renegade 1000Xxc. What’s the best out there, and maybe even more importantly….. who can provide the best set-up based on the machines specs, and riding conditions? I want something plug and play, as I have no desire or time to do my own clutch tuning-testing. I’m looking to improve low end and mid range acceleration. I’m not even concerned if I loose some top end speed to achieve more bottom end acceleration. Thanks in advance for any advice!

2016 850 sp steering wheel light !

I was riding my wheeler last weekend when running down a fire road at wide open throttle and the steering wheel light with exclamation point flashed on the pod . nothing seem wrong but did happen one more time that day . Seems to run and work fine but don’t like problems with a new machine . Any thoughts ? The only thing I did was tighten the battery cables about half a turn .

2001 500 HO sat for 3 years.

So…… 1. Drained oil, and got water out, 2. Replaced card with new, 3. Replaced cam and rocker (prob. Original problem), 4. Compression test 90 lbs., 5.spark yes with black kill wire removed. Now when I try to start the best I’ve gotten is backfire through card with pretty little fire. Fuel pump doesn’t seem to be working as I’ve tried to manually work it with vaccum but shouldn’t keep it from starting as carb bowel is full from gravity feed.

Proud Dad moment

No secret we don’t get much time to do "fun" stuff as oldest daughter plays volleyball/softball for school (she started 9th grade last fall and played jv and varsity for both sports) and last fall got asked to play up on a 17u travel volleyball team and the hs varsity coaches 18u travel softball team (mainly comprised of the varsity players to get a jump on the season). Been doing travel ball bother sports since brooke was in 5th grade but never realized how intense it got practice and travel schedule wiset until we were asked to play up…wow. literally year round training for softball with our indoor facility, and volleyball only gets time off due to softball season, but the girls will practice one sport after school, then another sport in evening..busy.

Last night was season opener for school ball and brooke got some pics in newspaper and local news story so she’s pretty happy lol. But just glad to see the years of sacrifice on all our parts have really paid off and she’s become an incredible athlete. Was nominated to all star team during nationals in july, but we may be heading to maryland for east coast tourniment (travel club girls again once high school state is finished). Busy busy busy all the time. Think this year I’ve only burned a couple gallons of fuel in the quad to date:( was hoping to break in our new to us camper but weather doesn’t look to play nice at all all weekend…so probably no riding once again.

Link to local news story, if ya got 1 minute to watch it’s pretty fun to watch the triple play go down, not often you get to see that, luckily the other teams runners were hell bent on running and weren’t thinking lol.

Faded plastic

Now that my x2 is ten years old, the plastic is starting to fade. Is there any way to brighten it back up? My other thought is to camo wrap it , in which case I’ll need to paint the under side of fenders( they are currently red). What is the best paint to use to stick to plastic? Thanks guys
