Lean versus rich mixture

I am wondering. If the xmr 1000 runs lean from the factory which makes it as hot as the sun behind the plastic. Will running it too rich create the same problem. I have just installed a tuner and the pre set settings are for a pipe and filter (aftermarket). I am running stock So I know the fuel mixture is rich. I am not seeing any lowering of the exhaust temp at all Should I ?????
I am going to play with the settings and lower the mixture number for cruising a bit and see if that helps. I have an EJK. Tuner. On my 2016 xmr 1000r

I have to upgrade tires and rims.

The rims I have on my 09 foreman 500 ES have wallowed out and the lug nuts don’t hold em on anymore. Looking at 14" rims 29.5 outlaw 2’s. I don’t have gear reduction and I’ve heard that it may not want to turn em. I do trail and mud ridding. I want a large aggressive mud tire, but don’t know what I can get that will turn. Please help.

New to xmr

We are picking up a new to us 2014 xmr 1000 this weekend we have been trying to find there week spots and fix them so far we had the dealer put in new highlifter tie rods and differentials and was going to change the silverbacks but keep them as a spare to swap to while riding we where thinking 28 or 30 inch zillas or mayhems is there anything else we should look into doing to make it bullet proof oh and we are having it snorkeled higher we have mud pros also and just want to make sure they last just as well as our pros do we have kinda pushed our mud pros to the limit a few times on accident and they have been great to us just wanted to try the can ams nothing compares in my opinion power wise and options wise

June 8th New model release date rumor

So rumor on other forums has June 8th marked as yamahas new model release Date.

It’s been a long time since we had a Yamaha speculation post. Be interesting to hear what people have heard from dealers and what people think will happen to the line up.

My guess is advances in the motor cycle world and no release of new ATV or UTV

Hi from Memphis tn /N miss area. First thanks for all the great info or thought provoking areas while I looked for my first and then second atv. I had 2004 bought in pristine shape used and was wonderful for a year and a half. Of course you can’t have anything without thief breaking into your barn and stealing it. This time there were just so few 04-09 bikes that I had confidence in. If they were good shape it was top dollar. So I was looking at newer models -13 or 14 and it was very much a buyers market. My one hang up was did I have to have power steering? Drove one and it was nice but worried would it be a problem and not very many of those available. Anyway, after months I got I think roof deal. A young guy had sunk his income tax return into a new foreman and needed the money for for life stuff. So I bought his 2016 foot shift foreman, black alloy ss rims and itp lite (xr or some initials) winch, 9 months of warrenty 300 miles for 5300.

Looking forward to learning more from others about owning newer bikes. Thanks again for all the help.
