honda ex300 white smoke
hello guys im new here i bought a 96 honda ex300 since about a week
i still dont know about the ATV that much but i understand in mechanism
so the thing is i bought used honda ex300 with a new motor
so what i did tried to maintain it but checking oil,air filter etc…
i noticed that the ATV is low on oil so i went and bought thick 10w40 semi synthetic
added some and fueled it up with 98 octane
so i started to notice white smoke on high revs
either way the ATV runs perfect it goes fast and engine sound is great
however that one thing the white smoke that comes out
i called and asked the guy that i bought the ATV from and asked him if the piston rings are good or they need to be changes he told me everything is new in the motor probably because u mixed semi synthetic oil with synthetic oil

2016 grizz/kodiak questions
Currently I have a 2011 big bear 400 it gets me where I need to go slowly but surely lol and I’m looking to get a new grizz/kodiak it will be this fall before I have the money saved up so it might be a 2017 model by then ? Not sure when the new models will come out I live on a large 900+ acre farm so there are long roads and the big bear is just to slow 40 miles an hour tops so it wouldn’t be uncommon for me to go 55 or more what’s the top speed on the kodiak? I don’t really mud a lot I don’t like it wears out brakes and makes a mess but I love the on command 4×4/4×4 lock and the kodiak only has limited slip if I get a kodiak it will be an eps version or if a grizzly it would have to be without EPS I read the only difference between the two as far as the engine and transmission goes is the clutch weights are heavier on the kodiak can you swap these for grizzly clutch weights? Also do most dealers come off msrp if so how much? Thanks in advance just trying to decide witch one will suit me best!

New to the forum, not new to ATVs….

Back in ’99 I bought a new sportsman 500 and have had it ever since. In 17 years I have only ever changed the oils, greased it and ridden it. I’m not hard on it, but I don’t baby it either. Polaris makes a great machine! It quit last fall and I just got around to getting it in the garage and working on it. I had to replace the stator and it now runs fine. (I also replaced the belt, as it was a bit worn, as one would imagine!) My AWD hasn’t worked for a few years, and it was in researching that issue that I found this forum, and it’s a goldmine of good information. I got the AWD working now by bypassing the speedometer. (The speedo quit about 6 months after the warranty expired, and I see no reason to spend $350+ on a new one that may or may not last). Anyway, great forum, and it’s already saved me a ton of time and money, so thanks to everyone!

Loose bolts on sway arm?

These bolts/nut was so loose the sway bar would rattle around.
I think they use child labour in Mexico. They can’t tighten bolts enough. Atv is a 2016….
I can deal with a few of can am problems. No bike is perfect but I hope my safety isn’t compromised doing 100k…

can am l570 vs polaris 570
I’m curious how these 2 machines compare since they r so closely rated. I can’t find anything except comparing with the l500. Anyone know how these 2 compare? I own a l570 and a just wondering:smilietwocents: how they rank.
