Hey folks. I’m taking my wife and daughters to Oregon again in August for a week of playing in the sand. We have always gone to the KOA and stayed in one of the little cabins they have for rent as I cant pull the atv’s AND the RV so it’s one or the other. http://www.oregonduneskoa.com/
So here’s my question… Does anyone know of a nice motel/hotel that is right on the dunes? Or somewhere we don’t have to trailer the atv’s back & forth? Or some place that you highly recommend? Florence? Coos Bay? etc etc… Input… I need input! lol!
I have a 2000 Rancher that ran, and a 2002 for parts that seems to be locked up.
Both are going to be torn all the way down. Is there a big improvement in the 2002 shift drum? I’ve noticed the 2000 is a one year only part and the 01-06 all used a different drum.
I’m going to tear the motors all the way down and depending on what I find I might just rebuild the 02 motor, or if it’s in bad shape inside, swap the 02 shift drum over to the 00 motor IF there is a design problem with the 2000 Ranchers.
Plan is to split cases, check the crank, clean everything well, install a fooftshift spindle (it’s an ES currently), put in new seals, new timing chain, and new top end. Just not sure if I should just rebuild the 2000 engine or if I should try to rebuild the 02 or possibly take parts off of the 02 and swap onto the 00 if there was a design improvement.
New to ATV’s. Got a 02 Yamaha BigBear 400 4×4 and I just picked up a TRX300 2×4. Gonna be looking for info on the Honda. Needs some help and rebuilding. I believe it is a 95 model, but a local dealership told me it is a 89 or 90. So I need to narrow it down more. VIN is pretty rusted so It is difficult to read. Wondering if Honda will offer more discounts soon than the $300 being offered now…I am wanting the FA6 and with dealer and Honda discounts it is still at around $8399 locally with $9149 or so MSRP…do dealers negotiate much and will bigger discounts come likely due to 2017 models rolling out?
Any help would be great. I have had trouble with my 2006 outlander 650 starting. I have power to the starter but acts like its not catching in side to turn the motor over. I installed a new starter thinking it was the problem. It still does the same thing. Any ideas on what to do?
