i started up my 400ex and with in 30 to 45 seconds the headers and the motor where the headers bolt up to got so hot it was smoking so i replaced the oil cooler thinking that might help but no it still does it does anyone have any suggestions the bike is completely stock !!! HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

Hello, I am very new to owning am ATV and I have a 2008 Can Am Outlander 650 Max and while I was out today on it, it was running fine for 10 or so minutes then I took a break near a lake for maybe 5 minutes. I came back and turned it back on and was driving about 8mph on the trail going back when all the lights came on on the display like when I first turn it on, then it automatically dropped down to 5mph for a few feet (I know I should have stopped) and then completely stopped a few seconds later. So I turned the engine switch off and turned the key to the off position and gave it a minute. It turned on just fine and I went a steady 10 mphs for 5 minutes or so back home with no problem. Why did it do this? I live in rural alaska and this ATV is my only means of transportation. Please and thank you for your help!!

I was hoping someone could help me. I recently bought a 2016 1000 XMR manta green and was looking for the paint codes as I would like to paint my helmet to match. I found the match for the manta green bumpers and then noticed the stickers and handle bars were a different shade of green. Has anyone tried to match the handle bar colour? As that’s the colour code I’m looking for. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

Alright guys, been workin on my 2000 450 formeman, I changed the piston rings about a month ago, the plunger valve in the top of the carb had split so it wasn’t running right, I work offshore so I’m gone two weeks at a time, I put a new plunger in today and put a factory muffler back on, had a glass pack on it, the pipe was getting red hot comin out the head and into the bend, I put a bigger jet and adjusted the valves, it’s alot better, but still gets red if I hold the throttle, and now I’m hearing a tickING noise from the front top end of the engine, it might have been doin it after I changed the rings and I just couldn’t here it with the glass pack, idk what it is, any advice would help, thanks in advance.

Does any one use gas treatment, particularly ones that remove water such as a brand called Heet, in their ATV? The ETX has been acting funny and it just so happened after adding gas in. I don’t know if the 2 things are related but I thought I would try some of the treatment to see if it will solve the problem.

Can anyone tell me what all I need to remove to be able to install a full exhaust on the renegade xmr? Also is there a gasket that I need to reuse or replace? Just trying to get anew idea of what I need to do. First time dealing with 4×4 atvs

I have a 1991 Honda fourtrax 300 2wd. Starter hasn’t worked in 10 years atleast. Always kick started it. It sat for 6 years untouched, then I put fresh gas in it and a new air filter and it fired up and I drove it once. The rear end is completely out of it so I didn’t drive it long before I parked it for the last 2 years. Now I have cleaned the tank, fresh gas, cleaned the carb 4 times, each time I got it more cleaner then the time before. When kick starting it would fire and run just a second and die. Done that for days. Now all of a sudden its not even trying to start. Spark is confirmed, line from tank to carb is clear and flowing good. Now when I pull the carb, the engine itself smells like old gas bad, like no fresh gas is getting though the carb. On top of the carb it has a round rubber plunger thing that doesnt seem bad, but i really dont know for sure. On the overflow drain valve, it leaks gas out when rocking the fourwheeler and at just random times like theres no vaccum or something. Sorry about the long story. Any help would be great. Also want to know, the knob that adjusts the throttle, I played with it not really knowing what it did until I had the carb apart, now I need to get it set to where It should be. does anyone know what to set it at? Also the primer on the side of the carb does have a tiny needle pinhole in the rubber boot that sprays a tiny quirt of fuel every push.
