Not sure if I should get a winch or wait another month and get my fuel controller this month? Just got new rims tires and 1.5mm shim mod which helped a lot. I also want a sheave plate me cut cam plate soon but those two can wait unless the cam plate is easy or cheap to have done?
With all the experiences all you members have had how would you prioritize getting these mods if I do fuel controller I may end up buying a 2r tip as well to play with.:gcrules:

I must confess, I don’t own a Honda (unless you consider my Honda powered power washer). But I repair whatever comes my way, and many of my friends and customers do. I’ve come to develop an appreciation for Honda ATVs after seeing how many of the older ones are still out there running every day. I’ve got an 01 TRX450 and a 05 400 Rancher in the garage right now. The 01 looks like someone beat it with a big stick, but runs like a top (now).

I am going to upgrade the rear springs on my 570. I have the stock ones to the highest setting, which made a difference, but I am still not satisfied.
Just wondering what you guys recommend for stiffer shocks in the back. I hear High lifter, EPI and Polaris a lot. What are your opinions and experiences with them?

Hi, i was driving my honda when suddenly it lost power and got a very hard knock. Later after i let it cool down i started it and it still had the knock but i had to get home, so i drove the atv slowly(i know, STUPID) about 3 miles until it heat seized. I got it home and did a teardown of the engine, I installed a brand new cylinder and piston(the piston from the honda factory was installed with the inlet side pointing towards the exhaust??)after putting it all back together and adjusting the valves i started it up, to my dismay it still has a very hard knocking sound, any clues?? :dry:
Adding spacer on inside of primary so to raise the belt on the secondary. Any one so this on the polaris?

Putting a crank in a recon. After I got the two crankcase halves together and started putting everything else together I noticed I can move the crankshaft back and forth in the crankcase. Is that normal? Didn’t know if there should be any endplay or not?
Just wanted to stop in and say Hi! Fairly new to atv’s, just bought a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 450 and a 2003 Grizzly 660. Decided to sell my mules and replace them with atv’s. Also just picked up a really nice 12′ Aluma trailer to haul them in. Will be using them for camping/trail riding/shed hunting/and for priority #1 elk hunting. Been lurking for awhile reading up all I can, and will be asking some questions here and there if I can’t find an answer using the search function.
