Hi, I have a 1988 trail boss 250. The Atv has power to the starter from the solenoid and has power from the key and the start button, which I’ve tested with a circuit tester. But when I press the start button nothing happens, not even a click at the solenoid.
I have recently changed the starter and solenoid hoping that they were the problem of it not starting.
I’ve put jump leads directly onto the starter and it cranks when I do that.
The cut off switch works as I’ve used it when the Atv was running from the recoil starter.
I’ve tried 2 different batteries which I know work, and that doesn’t make a difference.
Surely if everything has power to it, it must crank over?

I’m really stuck at what to do next.
If anyone has any advice that would be much appreciated.

Doesn’t seem like there is a 2 inch receiver that will fit the 2015 model.

Recently purchased 1990 trx 350. My problem is I can find almost no reference to this model – as if it never existed. My suspicion is the model is actually a 1989 carried into 1990 year. I am using 1986 to 1989 trx 350 service manual which so far seems pretty close. Can anyone confirm which service manual and model number reference (need to order a starter motor: ha7-620 or ha7-773?) before I start down the wrong path ordering parts

Anyone know the decibel level the Exo produces on a Renegade 800?

Long story short, I dislodged this wire while taking off the flywheel. Anyone know if I can re-soldier it to the stator? If so, is it supposed to be soldiered to the plate, or the coil of copper?

I have a 2008 Yamaha 450 grizzly and the rear brake stuck on and now it does not work. Any suggestions on how to take it apart to replace the brakes.

Just purchased a 2007 renegade 800 and it went into limp mode within 5 minutes of riding. I checked the rad, hoses, coolant,bleed air and check thermostat. So after all that I removed the water pump housing and noticed the water impeller isn’t rotating when I start the bike. What could cause this. I also notice the shaft that the plastic impeller is attached to is rotating and when I turn by hand I hear a clicking noise. any help would be greatly appreciated. Cant wait to get this thing running.

Ok so starter clutch was bad cause the starter would engage and spin but not the motor. Pulled the flywheel and good grief. Back side of the starter clutch is tore up and not to mention and missing screw!!!!! What to do now since I’m missing that screw? Do I need to find it or flush the motor or what?
