the wifes 2010 850xp died on the trail. it will run but there’s no power and it the engine is making a lot of noise. how does one diagnose the timing gear problem..

I have a 2nd hand 700 efi ranger… 2007 model… I got an owners manual off the net ..there is a reservoir under the hood..red screw cap, green plug under that… It’s on the passenger side, on the same level as the radiator cap??? What do I put in this.. I can’t seem to find any reference to it in the manual..The reservoir is empty, looks like oil residue in the bottom??

My electric start won’t work. I have a brand new battery, my neutral light comes on I click and nothing if I jump the solenoid post it turns on, the solenoid is new my push start button is good my fuse is good what could it be??? Please help
