Polaris Magnum 500 – High gear slips

Hi all

I have a problem with my magnum 500, where the High gear slips out when riding downhill or on slight bumpy trails.
I tried adjusting the linkages, that didnt help.

I read somewhere that the engagement dog and the fork shift are most likely at fault and will need to be replaced.

Can someone advise? Thanks

Front diff lock switch not working?

So while showing my uncle what to look for on a 660 he is going to look at tmrw I went to show him how to engage the front diff lock and I realized my switch won’t slide over. I have no problem going fromantic 2 to 4 wheel but when I try and slide the switch over so I can uncover the yellow diff button it refuses to slide over. I had the bike in neutral, park held the brakes I never had an issue with it before I did do some pretty hard riding recently and I put heavy duty axles in to support my it megas. Is there something I’m forgetting in order to engage the diff lock or is something wrong

Rust/Loc-Tite dilemma-mud flaps 86 TRX200SX

I’m hoping someone here has dealt with this on the mudflaps for an 86 TRX200SX. I have a perfectly good set of mudflaps that I’d love to use.

The problem is…some of the screws/fasteners are really rusted…others seem to be locked so tight that no matter what I’ve tried, I cannot bust them loose and I’ve been trying for a week.

I can’t just cut the heads off….I’d ruin the mud flaps if I did so.

I’ve tried PB Blaster, 20% vinegar, and Evapo-Rust.

Any advice would be most appreciated, I can’t be the only person who has dealt with this problem…

Thanks!
