1986 TRX350A Fourtrax was built in Sep 85 and purchased in CA. First owner rolled it shortly afterward and never drove it again. Took nine months to get it titled b/c of back fees!!
Fixed stuck valve, acid-cleaned rust clogged fuel tank, replaced leaky fuel pump, rebuilt the fuel petcock and carb. Searched five years to acquire OEM parts and optional accessories: replaced both fenders, added 3M conspicuity stripes, hour meter, the Holy Grail speedo kit, headlight riser, front basket/carrier, rear cooler carrier with optional toolbox trapdoor, mud flap kit adding Yosemite Sam flaps, exhaust turndown, driving light lens and headlight guards, and hondaline front bumper. Future work includes adding a 12V hookup for work lights, comm and navi.
I have all the original parts including tires.

Broken bushing on 2012 xt 1000 outlander front drive shaft

Hey guys,
got done plowing the other night and heard some grinding noises then I had no 4 wheel drive. Thought at 1st it was the front dif but under better inspection it wasn’t. I am able to spin the front bushing on the drive shaft so need to replace the front splined bushing on the driveshaft that is closest to motor. Has anybody replaced these? If so what is easiest way to go about doing the job. Thanks in advance.

2005 Polaris Predator – Suspension Dead

Hi, this is my first post, looks like a great forum!

I have an 05′ Polaris Predator 500 and the suspension is dead, I can stand on the front and when I jump off it barely moves.

Does anyone know what shocks I can buy that will fit my model? I’ve tried a couple of places but they don’t list any shocks for an 05 Predator.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

What’s useful, what’s a waste of money?

I’m going to get either an Outlander XT 650 or 850. Really want the 850, but think it may be overkill for my usage (snow plowing flat gravel driveway, firewood gathering, trail riding and some woodsy riding, meaning stumps and brush).

I’ve seen skid plates mentioned as very useful, but should I go for full or just the front? Or?

The dealer says to get heated hand/throttle grips. Would’ve been useful on my motorcycle, but my feeling is it may be just another thing to malfunction. Opinions?

Would it be worth it to upgrade any other system, such as shocks, differential locks, or just wait until the oem stuff malfunctions? Of course, if it doesn’t malfunction, so much the better.

Anything else?
Thanks for any advice.
