Ive been doing some research on lift kit options and so far Ive found high lifter, super ATV lift, and rubberdown lift. Which is better? Are there any other options?

Due to milky oil in the counter balance chamber dis-assembled motor, the counter balance is completely rusted seals/bearings ruined. Looks like all the seals and bearings on the pull starter side need replacement. The clutch side of the crankshaft looks good no apparent residue in the main crankshaft compartment. Can I leave the main bearing and seal on the clutch side intact w/o replacement?

Does the Main bearing require any special lubrication?

Suggestions on good place to obtain the replacement parts?

I have a ’10 sportsman 800 that apparently ran low in oil and locked up when we were getting after some crazy cattle that wouldn’t go in the pen. Anyway, what’s the best option to get this thing running again? I’ve looked at used motors on eBay, which can be had for $15-1800. I could swap it out myself, which doesn’t seem to be too difficult. There’s a decent cycle shop in town that deals a lot of used Polaris atv’s, but I don’t know how competent their mechanic would be at an engine rebuild. I’m hoping to stay away from the dealer, simply because I know this can be fixed much cheaper elsewhere. What’s your opinion?

So.. it’s very tricky for us guys in England to get hold of certain parts for Honda ATV’s as there’s not as many dealers and very few after market parts available to us.
I’m itching for a gear reduction mod, but, the parts cost a small fortune which make it not really worth bothering with, I want bigger tyres though!

Would any of you guys in the USA be willing to post a gear reduction (all necessary parts ready to fit) over to the UK? Obviously I would transfer money in advance, plus some for your time etc.

The above wouldn’t be for a month or two and would also be subject to postage costs of course. I also understand if some of you give me the middle finger for asking! Haha!

Well my 14 year old daughter and her 12 year old cousin were thrown from my atv Saturday and my daughter broke her wrist…to say i feel awful is an understatement…and she says "never again" will she ride…luckily she was on a soft ground pasture and not pavement, and the cousin was not hurt. While she didn’t hit her head, I still was reminded that she should have had a helmet on. Of course the ER dr. asked about a helmet immediately. Wanting to remind all of you to not be as negligent as I was and would love recommendations on economical yet safe helmets for teens that may grow out of the helmet sooner than later. Not really looking for people to pile on and tell me how dumb I am as I quite truly feel dumb enough. Be safe out there, and learn from my mistake.

Is this something I can expect to continue to happen? It’s still under the 6 month warranty but I am contemplating buying the 2 year or 3 year warranty in case it happens a 2nd or 3rd time.

hi every one. i have finnaly found a honda big red in the uk . but i need help please ? engine starts fine goes up the gears as it should but then as i gear down it looses complete power the throttle seems to be in effective like am in neutral then engines dies within 5-10 secs ov going down a gear can any one help ?
