500 going into AWD slow

A friend asked me to take a look at his 2008 500 EFI. It was going into 4 wheel drive but seemed to have to have a lot of rear wheel spin. I checked the fluid and couldn’t see or feel any so I drained it. That’s where things get ugly. The stuff that came out was like glue so I figured I’d flush it with Kerosene After 5 times the Kerosene was starting to clear up some what. Then I tried some ATF fluid that still was dirty. When I put the fluids in I would run it around the yard a little bit also. My question is Should I continue flushing till clean or just tear it apart and do a good cleaning? By the way it isn’t going in 4 wheel drive at all now. Assuming from all the crud being loosened up things are stuck.

Stupid 350 Rancher carb leak

I’ve now taken this carb on and off about 10 times. Seat has been polished, I’ve tried both the old needle and a brand new needle. Thing will seal till I shake the bike, then it starts flowing again.

I spent a couple of hours last night reading old threads and most say to polish the seat, replace the needle, and if it still leaks, replace the carb.

Then I see where people have replaced the carb, and the NEW ONE LEAKS.

Is this just a poorly designed carb or what?

There is a replacement seat and needle for sale on ebay, but since it’s pressed in I’m not sure how to get the old one out (I have a press to press in the new one). Anyone tried this?

Of course, there are china carbs for $45 or so, and while the $15 Honda GX china carb I bought for parts (needed the strainer bowl) ended up working great, I usually stay away from Chinese carbs.

Lastly, I saw this guy who said to raise up the level of the overflow tube and that would stop the leaking. Anyone tried this, and if so, how would one raise the level of the overflow tube?

Very frustrated. This is my neighbors bike and is the last thing I have to get fixed before I can get it out of my yard. He’s already balked at the $$$ for the parts I’ve spent thus far, so a new OEM carb isn’t really in the realm of possibility.

2017 outlaw 50 hop up?

Hey guys, new to the site. I’m sure this has been asked a million times but from all my searches I haven’t found anything so far on moding the outlaw 50’s. most tips are for the 90s
I just bought my daughter a new outlaw 50, so far out of the box its been great. she has been riding Chinese quads up till now and racing flat track locally. She had her first race last weekend with the new quad and noticed its much slower than some of the other outlaw 50’s. I added a little air pressure which helped and took out the throttle screw.

So what’s the next step? Usually in my experience jetting is poor from the factory. So I was going to start there and maybe pull the baffle out of the exhaust? Then I heard you can possible get an aftermarket CDI? I heard a rumor you can use one from the yzf50? Next I guess I would play with the sprockets, any recommendations? It would be great to get some solid info before I tear apart a brand new bike. Thanks!

Rear winches.

I’ve just got my hands on another superwinch for £10 (about $18) and I’m thinking of fitting it to the rear of my fourtrax. Has anybody done this?
Just wondering where to mount it and how people had mounted it.

It’s not exactly necessary to fit it, but I thought, I’ve got it, why not use it! I can pull myself out to have another blast at a mud hole then
