Riding yesterday, it was dark, like 50 degrees out, just cruising trails in the dark at like 10mph in Low gear, when the red temp light comes on and it goes into "limp home" mode, barely revving and almost no power. But I go the last 100 yards back to camp and shut it down.

I let it sit for a bit and it fires right up and runs fine. I check to see if the radiator is clogged or if the fan is stuck, and when I reach up in there, the fan blade is just flopping around. It doesn’t appear to be connected to the shaft on the motor…

The quad wasn’t in any mud or anything, actually we were running on dry trails and through a stream, so it is fairly clean…

Anyone else ever see that?

I am gonna take a look at it, but I do have the 5 year extended warranty, so maybe now is a good time to take it in and let them worry about it?
