I’m not sure why it feels heavy, especially when making hard turns at slow speed, but I know it is working and nothing is obstructing it. The 14′ Grizzly 700 with EPS steers much lighter especially in turns. I heard somewhere that they made an improvement on the power steering unit for the 2014 700, possibly even with a new pitman arm. Is it possible that my 550 doesn’t have the same EPS unit? I really wasn’t impressed at all with the EPS on mine, but my brothers 700 is way better.
It only has 50 miles on it, and i bought it used, so I didn’t know what to expect with an EPS unit. Compared to my Brute Force with no EPS, it doesn’t make me overly excited. Is there something I could do, or should I take it back to the dealer and have it checked or replaced. Some people say you notice the power steering even when it is running in a sitting position, I don’t feel that either.
