This last Friday i finished the new tierod install "which was much easier that I thought it would be given the allen head bolt on the hiem ends" and yesterday i took the grizz out south of my house a few minutes outside of boise for a test ride. I put on a quick 38 miles and the tierods are nice and solid. I got back to the house sprayed down the grizz and let it just sit drying off as i sat there drinkin beer. I then started her up and let the grizz get warm around 170F then parked her in front of my garage door in the driveway. I sat down on the pavement tossing a tennis ball for my puppy when i noticed i was loosing antifreeze out of the grizz 🙁 Looks like i blew another water pump seal!! I’m sure its from getting to hot the ride before this one.
She’s now back in the garage and half torn down .. I’ve got on order an aftermarket 3 core radiator and a spal HO fan along with new waterpump seals. I should have just done this from the beginning but at the time i just didn’t want to tear apart the front end of the grizz as well…
The wrenching continues on this ol’girl……… I should have known i wasn’t finished :cussing:
If there’s interest i’ll post up pics along the way of the new radiator and fan install and any difficulties i run into.. It appears to be a good bit bigger than the stock radiator I hopefully wont have any issues with the install.
