Amazing air compressor review

:yahoo:
Ok….so for years and years and years, we just packed a simple, yet effective standard bicycle pump. But…as you all know, Can Am puts on the lightest, crud tires (on my Outlander 1000 XT) which are not puncture resistant. So every single day, I’m pumping up the tire to ride. Granted, I only had five or six plugs in the same hole (rolls eyes)…., when I purchased it, I figured that the dealer would have set up, they’d check certain things like air pressure…and they did….but every tire was over 12 psi….which we all know is over what these tires should ever see, so I slashed one pretty good on a ride. YES, I KNOW….I should’ve checked them for myself, but I didn’t. When I did, it was too late and they were all bulging in between the lugs. Ok…so onto the review.

I not only have my atv’s, but I have a jeep wrangler, a toyota 4runner a couple chevy trucks and, well…I have a problem. So I wanted an air compressor that would not only work for my atvs, but something I could use for full size rigs.

Enter the Viair 88P. It’s a new model which has amazing capacity in a small package. If you check out youtube, there are some killer vids on it. This unit has clamp to battery hookup and requires the rig running to use it. (unless you have a nice big battery on your full size rig). It pumps anything up…..FAST. And for under $60 currently; it’s an amazing deal. I also picked up (both from Amazon) the case that someone else had purchased for it which fits it perfectly (and plugs, pressure gauge, etc) which is this

If you don’t have an air compressor and are looking for something that not only works for your atv, but any full size rig, I HIGHLY recommend getting the Viair 88p. I’ve never been impressed like this on small, plug in style air compressors, but if you check youtube, my vote of confidence isn’t the only one there….everyone really loves this thing.

I am in no way affiliated with this unit, I work for Boeing; helping to engineer the next generation of airplanes. Ride safe everyone, and go prepared.

Oh….and this compressor packs a ton of performance in a very small package. I went with this model instead of one that plugs into the aux port because there were many people who said it kept popping their 20 amp aux fuse, even though this unit only requires that. The issue is with the size wire used to wire the aux port on our machines and also today’s vehicles. No such issue when plugging right to the battery. Oh, and another nice detail….instead of having the little clamp on deal to attach it to the valve stem, it actually screws onto the valve stem…no leaks
