Hi everyone new here . Just picked up an 87 250x for a good price . Stock motor as far as I can tell with stock exhaust . Has a foam moose air filter . I started going over the bike the last few days and took the carb apart to give it a good cleaning and check the jets . Runs good now carb was filthy and float was out of spec . Anyway it has a 122 main and a 35 slow jet . I set the air screw at 2 1/2 turns out . Elevation 600 feet…I want to remove the air box cover and was wondering how big of a main jet I should start with ? I think I’ll pick up 125-130 jets…this way I can jet for winter weather too . Will I be good with the 35 slow jet for winter ? I probably won’t ride under 20 degrees outside lol . That’s sled time .
