I just purchased a 86 TRX250 Utility and motor is great, but the plastics are junk mostly homemade.
I have the opertunity to get a TRX300 Utility 93 but its in need of a shifter and a few other things.

Is worth upgrading? i’m only using it as a pit bike and around the camp sites.

Is the 93 Fourtrax 300 automatic shifter like the 86?
