50″ Width and Clearance Help Needed

I could use some help improving my ground clearance and getting the rear of my machine back to 50". Current build on the 2014 800 LE includes Racer Tech 2" lift, OEM shocks with RT medium springs (set at maximum preload), 27x9x14 tires on 14×7 MSA wheels with +30mm offset (roughly 5+2) and less than 1,200 miles. The result is a 54" width and a mere 8" of ground clearance at the rear frame by the hitch (does have a 1/2" rubber skid plate so it would be 8 1/2" without). I have tried 14×6 Walker Evans wheels with a 5.125" backspacing but that makes very little improvement in overall rear width.

My first question – Is it normal for the rear wheels to lean in at the top (see pics)? I ask because if they were more perpendicular to the ground as are the fronts that would improve the overall width since the lower half of the tire/wheel would pivot in as the top half moved out. Does that have anything to do with the lift kit or the springs? Anyway to fix if not normal?

Second: Shouldn’t the lift kit, especially when combined with the taller than OEM tires, provide more ground clearance than what I have?

Third: What am I missing?

Thanks for your help.
