400ex smoking on newer rebuild

Hello need some advice what I have is a 2000 400ex that was rebuilt by a shop it was stock they bored it to the next size over and replaced the valves and seals I have roughly 30 hrs on bike after rebuild and timing chain stretched so I replaced it and when I did I change oil at the same time and went with a 10 40 synthetic iv always ran gn4 before this .now about an hr into the ride after this the bike is smoking like crazy I actually had to add a quart and a half to get it back home. I couldn’t imagine a ring burning up so I put a compression test on it and it was reading 175-180 psi. What could have went wrong??? The synthetic?? Or could valve seal cause this much oil burning as I did notice when I pulled caps to adjust valves I had a puddle of oil sitting in valley of the left exsaughst valve is this normal??thanks in advance for any help
