Hello all, hoping for a little help with my new (to me) 06 trx 250ex. When I was testing it before purchase, it would only run with the choke engaged. The further the choke was engaged, the higher the rpm’s got, enough so that I could use the choke as a throttle to ride around and check the gears. Thought this seemed odd that choke alone would allow engine to go to WOT, but figured it was something simple. As soon as choke was off, engine stalled. Got it home, pulled the carb, idle jet was clogged. Cleaned it, put everything back together, fires right up with no choke. But, it’s at wide open throttle no matter how far I back off the idle adjust screw. Throttle slide and spring are aligned and appear to be functioning correctly. What am I missing?
