2016 Outlander XTP Fox Adjustment for light rider

Hey all

Just bought my first can am and I decided to go all out and got the XTP 1000.
The ride is amazing. It’s my first ever 4×4 as I always had race quads in the past. I do miss the lightweight of those quads and the manual shifting but I’m sure I’ll get use to this beauty!

Anyways, I’m here to ask some opinions. I’ve done a lot of research on this site and I couldn’t find a thread that related to my problem. I weight around 150-160 pounds and I did find the ride very stiff. I went for long rides today and adjusted on the go 3 different times. I started by adjusting the rear by putting the low speed compression to the softest settings. After, I did the other one at the bottom of the shocks at the softest as well. I love it when the rear is soft just as long as it doesn’t bottom out. I did the same with the front and I’ve noticed it was too soft as it bottomed out. Now I did twelve clicks going towards stiffness and for the low speed compression, I added half a turn on each side. Now the front is much better.

Just wondering if I should play with the shocks reload (like the springs) and should I even bother with the high speed compression? I’m not too sure about how it would change the ride.

I’m looking for a soft ride yet that can handle some rough riding.

I’m about to add a Yoshimura on this beauty as well. I want to gain as much power and find a way to get the maximum speed out of it.

If anyone is willing to share their time to give me suggestions, much appreciated.
