The Renegade X mr 1000R uses the revamped 89-hp, 80o 976cc liquid-cooled V-twin DOHC, eight-valve Rotax engine from the Renegade 1000R, which has 9% more power and leads the ATV industry in performance for 2016. Based off of the SST G2 single-rider chassis, the newest X mr ATV wears 30-inch (76.2 cm) Gorilla Axle Silverback tires on 14-inch (35.6 cm) cast-aluminum wheels with integrated, color-matching beadlocks, FOX† Performance Series 1.5 PODIUM† RC2 piggyback shocks and receives a snorkeled CVT intake and exhaust as well as a snorkeled engine air intake for extreme mud performance. Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering and Visco-Lok QE front differential enhance handling and traction in crawls through the mud.

The Renegade X mr is also outfitted with X-package components (graphics, seat cover, handlebars with grip handle and bar pad, full-wrap wind deflectors and bumpers), giving a nod to its racing heritage. Additional standard equipment includes 3,000-pound winch, skid plate, quad projector lighting and D.E.S.S. Like its siblings, the Renegade X mr 1000R also has the revised one-year (1,500 km / 932 mile) break-in maintenance requirement. Add two striking color schemes (Hyper Silver / Can-Am Red or Hyper Silver / Octane Blue) to the mix, and the Renegade X mr 1000R will leave a lasting impression when it’s ruling over the competition.

89-hp Rotax V-Twin engine
Renegade X mr 1000R
The new 89-hp, 80o 976cc liquid-cooled V-twin DOHC, eight-valve Rotax engine in the Renegade X mr 1000R has lead the ATV industry in performance. Shared with the Outlander X mr 1000R, the engine gained a 9% power increase via new piston designs, a new 54 mm throttle body and the new engine head from the Can-Am Maverick.TM EFI ensures optimal performance from the engine at all times.

Mud-ready CVT with lower “L” gear range
NEW Rotax 1000R
The CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) means no shifting is required. The system includes standard engine braking with High, Low, Park, Neutral and Reverse gears. The CVT housing has 13 bolts to ensure a proper seal and also includes an integrated drain plug. The Can-Am X mr family includes an extra low range “L-gear” with a softer engagement and improved throttle control for low-speed riding and better traction in heavy mud.

Integrated CVT intake and exhaust system
Can-Am has made sure that critical components like the CVT intake and outlet, as well as the engine intake are located as high as possible on the ATV. We placed them in the pod directly in front of the handlebars and high above the muddy, wet conditions below.

Large radiator
The larger radiator, with its class-leading 27 kW of cooling capacity, on the Can-Am Renegade X mr 1000R ensures all-day rides in the deep mud.

Dual-room, no-tools air box
The X mr family of ATVs have their no-tools air box placed at a high and centralized location for filtering and processing air. A dual-room air filtration design captures dirty air in one portion of the box and clean air in another section before it sends the air to the engine. Specific to the X mr, the airbox also features an easy access drain. The mud enthusiasts will also appreciate the higher air intake ensuring performance in mud and water.

High-grade exhaust and silencer
The Renegade X mr 1000R has a performance-inspired exhaust system, including and a durable end cap/cover, that produces a throaty and impressive exhaust note, yet adheres to strict dB and emissions standards.

HANDLING
FOX PERFORMANCE SERIES 1.5 PODIUM† RC2 piggyback adjustable shocks
These high-performance shocks have high- and low-speed compression, rebound and preload adjustments to allow riders the flexibility of tuning the suspension to fit the terrain and riding style. The FOX PERFORMANCE SERIES 1.5 PODIUM RC2 piggyback shocks also enhance the 2016 Renegarde X mr 1000R ATV’s handling and performance in challenging conditions.

14-inch (35.6 cm) cast-aluminum beadlock wheels
The large cast-aluminum wheels give the Renegade X mr 1000R an aggressive look and wear color-matching and fully functional beadlocks to ensure performance in the deepest of mud holes.

30-inch (76.2 cm) Gorilla Axle Silver back tires
The proven 30-inch Gorilla Axle Silverback tires were chosen for their exceptional mud-riding characteristics. Developed by Gorilla Axle, these tires have been tested
in the challenging mud holes in the Southern U.S. They have tall lugs and an aggressive tread pattern for superb mud performance.

Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTITM) rear suspension
Gorilla Axle Silverback tires
Using far less moving parts than competitive systems, TTI was designed to eliminate scrub and camber changes when the suspension works up and down and keep the quad in straight line. Unique to Can-Am, the proven Torsional Trailing arm Independent rear suspension offers increased rigidity. This suspension setup also includes a removable external sway bar and lower pivot points for geometric squatting to improve traction and the transferring of power to the ground.

Double A-arm front suspension with dive-control geometry
The Renegade ATVs have a race-proven double A-arm configuration with motion-control shocks and five-way adjustable preload settings. Dive-control geometry tightly controls the roll-center, especially when entering corners.

Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPSTM)
Calibrated specifically for aggressive trail riding and racing, the Tri-Mode DPS system features three modes (MIN, MED and MAX) allowing riders to select the desired amount of steering assist for the terrain and conditions.

Visco-Lok QE‡ front differential
The Renegade X mr 1000R model includes the Visco-Lok Quick Engagement calibration, giving the front differential an even shorter responding time.

SST G2 frame
The Renegade X mr 1000R uses the proven one-up Surrounding Spar Technology (SST) G2 frame and shorter wheelbase compared
to its sibling, the Outlander X mr 1000R. The welded-steel SST frame offers increased structural integrity and handling with fewer parts.

214 mm hydraulic disc brakes
Two large 214 mm disc brakes with twin-piston calipers up front and two, twin-piston caliper and 214 mm hydraulic rear disc brakes comprise the Renegade ATV braking system. It includes separate front and rear hand brake levers

NEW Revised maintenance break-in
The early break-in maintenance requirement is no longer necessary on the Renegade, saving consumers time and money in the long run. The first maintenance required is after one year (or 1,500 km / 932 miles) from 10 hours (300 km / 186 miles).

Easy-to-use maintenance center
Easily accessible and out of the elements under the seat, a centralized maintenance area offers easier access and improved protection. The rear brake fluid reservoir, solenoid starter, battery and relays are also conveniently located under the seat.

3,000-pound WARN winch
A 3,000-pound (1,361kg) WARN winch could come in handy should the mud prove too troublesome for you or your riding partners.

The Renegade family includes four stylish 60-W projector-type headlights (240 W) for improved nighttime clarity and trail visibility. The taillights offer a
seamless design that blends in with the rear plastic and offers increased visibility for trail riding.

Large fuel tank
The fuel tank is rated to hold 5.4 gallons (20.5 L) of fuel.
