In the past I have owned a 2009 brute force 750, then I upgraded to a polaris rzr 1000. I enjoyed several things about SxS’s but in order to get a SxS mud ready the cost associated is just to much and it seems SxS’s break things more often so I think I have made the decision to go back to a 4 wheeler.
There is no question it will either be a 2015 or a 2016 xmr 1000 outlander.
I am a bigger guy and I like the fact that it is on the max frame so i can add a rear seat for my wife.
We have several friends that own SxS’s so we can let them tote our beer around for us. I mean I could probably buy an Outlander xmr 1000 new and get my wife a cheaper polaris ranger or something and we would both have a vehicle for the same price it would take to get a SxS truly mud ready.
Anyways…..should I save a thousand bucks or so and get a 2015 XMR 1000 or should I get the 2016 XMR 1000? Are there any serious changes?
I am dead set on the green with black/white camo print I saw it in person and im in love.
If I go with a 2016 XMR 1000, the MSRP is $14,799…..what would a fair deal out the door be for this set up in texas? I dont need the best deal in the world but I need to feal like I got a fair deal.
I assume the XMR is completely mud ready stock and there is nothing I need to do? Or are there things that the forum would recommend? –> One of the reasons the XMR is so intriguing is the fact that it seems mud ready stock, I would rather not spend multiple thousands in aftermarket accessories….but a few accessories if needed I would do.
I for sure will purchase an extra set of rims. when I bought my 2009 brute force the person I bought it from had an extra set of tires. They are mud lites front tires are 27×9 on a 14" rim and the back tires are 27×11 on a 14" rim….I assume these tires would work fine with the 1000?
I would do this because I would want a much less aggressive trail type tire so when I am riding around my 5 acres or riding at the deer lease I am not tearing everything up in my yard.
Or would I be better off getting a completely new set of trail tires?
I plan on using the 4 wheeler for:
1) ATV Parks (mudding)
2) messing around the house hauling a trailer cleaning up trees and stuff
3) 2 up riding sometimes with my wife
4) riding regular trails at the deer lease during off season
