I need some advice on something. I went on a ride and ended up popping a C/V axle in the front end of my Sportsman. It popped inside the outer nuckle and did not come apart but that wheel would not pull any more. I was way back in a swamp and there was no option but to drive it out the best I could. I was quite surprised to find that un-like a normal diff, the other front wheel still pulled. Positive front diff??? I think not on a new bike so I looked it up on a parts diagram. What I found was alot of clutches and a very intricate and complicated diff. My question is this. Is there a chance I messed this front end up by driving it home on three wheel drive. The front wheel where the axle is broke is just freewheeling But the other wheel still pulls. The axle that is broke seems to be engaged with the diff. Sure hope I haven’t burnt the clutches or something. Some expert advice please!!
