2014 Outlander 500 xt took kit and other questions

I’m sure this has been covered before and apologize if it’s a repeated thread. I’ve recently became the owner of a 2014 Outlander 500 xt that belonged to my brother who lost the battle to cancer. I for the life of me cannot locate the factory tool kit. I’ve looked everywhere on the machine that it could be and nothing. I don’t even see a place where it would have been stored, knowing my brother he likes to tinker with thing so it’s possible he removed it but I feel that is something he would have left on the machine. I don’t need the kit as I pack "better" tools to take with me when riding but would like to have all of the original pieces that came with the machine, more of a sentimental thing than a need for those tools.

Another question – what lines are ran up under the gauge cluster? I’ve been able to trace most of them but am not 100% sure of what they all are and any other I need to look for. His version of maintenance was what ever alert popped up on the gauge. I’m going over everything on the machine now checking everything to make sure it’s all in good working order. This machine was his pride and joy and it means a lot to me to have it and while I want to keep everything as he had it, what I don’t want to do it be out on the trail and blow something up.

This isn’t going to become a big mud/water machine as I have others for that but you never know what the trails bring. So far here in Alaska I’ve come across water crossings and some mud holes. Having the differential vents already up high is a plus, just wondering what other lines I have to look for.

Do they come stock with K&N air filters? This one currently has a K & N.

Thanks in advance. :th_smiliethumbsup:
