2013 outlander 1000 xt

Last spring I bought a left over 2013 outlander 1000 xt. Saturday I done the second oil change it had 360 mile around 70 hours after removing oil drain plug I found a pin stuck to the magnet. looks like some kind of alignment pin there was no material of any kind that would normally be found on drain plug. I took the pin to the dealer mechanic. He had no clue what it was said to bag and tag and not worry about it just ride it. I ask what if the warranty runs out and flys apart and destroys engine. He said just keep up with it and if anything happens can am might pay for part of cost. I call bs. But anyway I went for about a 50 mile ride Sunday ran fine. The only thing I noticed is when cursing about 25 to 30 mph and feathering throttle it has a rattling noise on right side of engin. Sounds like spark knock or timing chain hitting something. Is that a normal rattle? What kind of pin is it? Should I make dealer take it and take it apart to find out what it is? I will make them write up a work order to say they have checked it to have proof.pics blow if I can figure out how to load them.
