2010 500HO fuel starvation issue–help?

My 2010 Sportsman 500 HO has a fuel starvation issue. It is probably self-induced as it started after I replaced a clogged pilot jet. It idles fine and runs normally for a few hundred yards and then dies to idle. After idling a few minutes the cycle repeats itself. It will not sustain more than 300 rpm under load. My thought is that the floats are sticking closed keeping full fuel flow from going into the main jet. I have pulled the carb again but see nothing that looks out of place.
Is it possible that something else could be restricting fuel flow? My only other possible culprits are the fuel pump or relocated fuel lines. When I replaced the jet I also rerouted the fuel lines so I could more easily access the fuel shutoff. Had to disconnect the lines at the fuel pump. The shutoff valve is now slightly lower than the fuel pump. Any suggestions??
