I bought a 2009 420 ES from a guy that supposedly just needed put back together. After running into a dozen "unknown" issues, it’s finally back together, but the injector won’t squirt fuel. Looking at the wiring diagram, the two wires go to (1) the pcm and (2) the "J/C 1", through a 24p connector.
Can anybody identify what the J/C 1 is? Also, the gear indicator just says "-", which stays solid and doesn’t flash. MIL is off. The neutral light is off, even though I’m fairly sure it’s in neutral. I’m not sure what that means, if it’s causing the computer to cut the injector pulse to prevent it from running over somebody?
I’m at a loss and if anybody with more experience with these can give me a pointer I’ll gladly take your lead and run with it! 🙂
Before it’s asked:
Yes, the only issue at this point seems to be the fuel injector not squirting. It’s getting fuel (repaired missing fuel pump connector & clogged petcock) to the injector. When I manually jump the injector it squirts fuel. It does not squirt fuel when cranking.
A splash of fuel into the intake will let it run for a short period.
