I recently purchased a 2008 SP 500 HO EFI with 2400 miles. Low hours so it was mostly long trail rides. Runs great. The only problem is when I had it out on the trail for the first time it acted funny.
We had been riding for about 1hr when I stopped to let the group of riders catch up is stalled while idling. I went to restart and it just kept turning. I shut the key off and tried again. This time nothing. No turn over. The display didn’t light up. I thought I was screwed. So I checked and I had it in park along with holding the break.
I turned the key off and tried again an viola it started. Drove for another 1/2 and stopped for lunch(45mins) and again turns over no start. Try again and blank display. try again and it started?
Any clues to what this might be?
