I have a 2007 Grizzly 700 that i’m not sure if I have multiple issues or what, but been through the ringer here. I am having trouble with the display having contact and with a "clicking" when I turn the key on. I had everything working again and then went out a couple of days later to try starting it and the darn display didn’t come on again…unplugged at the display and as I was sliding it back in it got connection. Turned the key off and on again and I got a "clicking". I gave the wire to the display a tug and the clicking stopped. Then I plugged the display back in, turned the key on again and clicking. Now it doesn’t seem to matter whether the display is plugged in or not. I cleaned all the connections to the battery, every relay and fuse where inspected some unplugged and re-seated.
I’m thinking wherever the display wire runs down to that there might be a bad wire? Why would that make the clicking sound though (like a starting relay noise)?
I also had troubles with it before just dying on the trail and then it would start up again a few minutes later. Checked coil resistance and staror are both within spec and the stator is charging battery well.
