Hey everyone, new member here. I’m helping a buddy with his 350 Bruin 4×4 that keeps dying. It won’t idle without the choke being kept on even when it’s warmed up. I’m guessing the carb’s dirty or out of adjustment, and I’ll bet the valves are probably way overdue for a clearance check too.
I’m trying to find a disassembly tutorial/sticky or video as a guide, any recommendations? Been looking thru the forums for topics on this but haven’t seen much. But as this is a fairly common task, I’m sure most of you would be a good source to ask. I’m pretty good with small engines and such, but I like to know what I’m in for before tackling one I haven’t done before. How are the Moose carb kits? Their part # for the ’06 350 Bruin 4×4 is 1003-0183, about $41. What are the basic adjustments during reassembly such as float setting, needle turns out from stops, etc? Anything else I should watch out for when doing the rebuild? Great to find such a busy forum with a lot of great knowledge going on. Thanks for your help!
