Okay this one has me stumped. I spent a couple of weekends preparing the grizzly for a big event we have at our local river riding spot. Long story short I did brakes, fluids, belt, oil change etc.
I ended up damaging a cv shaft that was probably long overdue for replacement. When my friend and I tore it down to replace it last night I was shocked to see the brake pads on both sets of front wheels wore to the backing plate.
I’ve ridden less than 100 miles since the install. Both pads are worn evenly, calipers were clean and appear to be operating normally.
My question. Are there any adjustments on the caliper that I overlooked? I would think the caliper would "float" to an extent like an automobile setup, but I’m not 100% sure how it operates. I see a screw under the rubber plug and someone had it bottomed out.
Can anyone give me some advice, I highly doubt I have two calipers sticking.
