2001 400ex couple issues help

Hi everyone, I decided to rebuild my 400ex (since engine had seized on me) I decided to do it myself to save money and also learn since I have always wanted to learn. It took me a while but I finally got the engine rebuilt and decided to mount and try to start it before I put more money into it (also to know if I did it right). This is where the problem start first I’m not getting any spark I removed all tape and plastic wrap from wiring harness to make sure all connections are good and no wire is cut or anything. That checked out good, also I jumped started it and it does start that’s way but that is where the second issue appeared I noticed the clutch wasn’t disengaging so I couldn’t keep the four wheeler running. My question is what would cause it not to disengage. I replaced clutch disc and springs when I rebuilt and I reopened the right side of the crank case to double and triple check that I put everything on right. Thanks in advance for any help
