My trusty 300 has given me no trouble for years and years. She purrs like a kitten. I had her out for a ride the other day and I noticed that I was going to be needing a new battery as I was getting weak starts. It got to the point that I had to kick her to get her going. (Sounds like I’m talking about my wife but really talking about my 300.) I had been out for about an hour and without warning she just died. No funny noises, no sputter, nothing. It was as if I had hit the kill but I didn’t. I robbed the battery out of my wife’s 350. My 300 would turn over but no fire. After I put the battery back in the 350 I decided to check for spark so I tried it using the 350 and the spark plug is fine. I’m going to pick up a new battery for the 300 and try it again to see if the plug gets spark from the 300. Someone told me I ran it too long with a dead battery and I probably damaged something electrical. Really? So, sorry to make a short story long but does anyone have any suggestions?
