I’m working on replacing a stator on a xplorer. I’ve got the old one out now to put the new one in. I’m having trouble getting the wires through the hole. If I unbolt the plate will the hole open up bigger for the wires and to get the gromit in place? Kind of a poor description sorry. It appears to me that it will but I don’t want to tear it off and ruin a gasket and cause myself more time and work. I was hoping someone with more knowledge can shed light on the situation for me.
