1990 TRX300FW Build

Coming from the car world I figure I would share some progress as I take my new wheeler on an adventure of restoration and functionality here so check for progress pictures and such and I gather parts and make things happen.

I picked up my 1990 TRX300FW on Tuesday June 30, 2015 in running condition for $700 needing some TLC across the board. It’s missing some parts of the plastics, battery, key start, and a few other odds and ends. Here’s a picture of it right after I picked it up….Attachment 24666

Tossed the wheeler in my truck and off I went to my shop to start digging into it! First off I will say that everything I’m doing is a process of both restoration and repair so that, as I make necessary repairs, I will be essentially restoring the beauty of the machine itself.

So far it looks like I need a new master cylinder and brake lines for the front brakes. The wheel cylinders still turn so I’m thinking they’re alright. I also ordered the Clymer repair manual first thing.

It needs a bunch if cleaning but as of now the overall plan is to get it all cleaned up nicely and then keep going through everything, front to back, and repair/restore where needed. Check out these pics in the next post….
