Greetings from Virginia. I’m a new member who is in need of your help. I have a 1986 Honda Fourtrax TRX350 that appears to have a starting issue. The scooter has been running great and just died while my wife was riding it. It will not start. It makes a single click noise and that’s it. I was able to kick start it to get it back to the house but it will not kick-start now. The battery is brand new but I removed the battery cables and connected them to a known good battery; same result, a single click. I removed all of the cover plates around the battery and checked all the fuses and they are all good. The source of the click is coming from the Starter Relay Switch (Switch Assembly Starter Magnetic). I disconnected, inspected, and reconnected the leads. They look brand new. No corrosion whatsoever. When I hold it and hit the ignition button it just makes a single click noise and kind of hops in my hand. I figured before I ordered a replacement part ($62 for an OEM replacement), I would ask the forum for assistance. I am NOT that mechanically inclined. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Eric.
