Reason for checking pilot adjustment. If throttle is advanced just little bit slow the engine faulters at a dead spot and engine will die if throttle is not advanced past the faultering dead spot. Engine runs good when throttle (engine rpm) gets past the weak spot just above idle speed.
I was going to check the adjustment of the carb pilot screw, but ????
After checking the owners manual and the service manual it appears that the pilot screw adjustment on this rig is not user friendly to access.
I looked at what appears to be it with a small mirror and flashlight and it appears to be standard size slot screwdriver but may require a special type tool or a ratcheting 90 degree screwdriver with a long handle??? (Pilot adjustment on this carb appears to be a brass screwdriver slot screw on the bottom left side of the carb)
(left side of carb is when setting on the seat looking forward)
Anyone know a easy way to make this adjustment on this rig????
