I have ’16 MAX XT with 600KM (375 miles) and I decided to check my fluid levels in diffs and trans.

All is well except the gearbox oil is not clear, it has a black/dark gray color to it. It looks like some sort of sludge. It smell like new oil also.

Service is not due for a while yet but would like to know if this is normal or not?

I’m planning on a trip this weekend and would drop the tranny fluid now if I had to.
