Initially I thought it was similar to a carbed bike having to warm up. Bike starts and idles fine, but give it a little throttle and it dies. It gets better after it warms up, but not to the point I would consider it normal. It’s like you have to get passed a certain point in the throttle. After that it’s good… no issues at higher throttle. At one point it was throwing t-bap related codes, but after cleaning it, checking the wires, and disconnecting the battery I get zero codes at all.
So far, I have started using ethanol free gas, added seafoam, replaced plugs, replaced air filter, replaced the boot between air box and throttle body, cleaned throttle body, cleaned t-bap, checked wiring harnesses on both t-bap and TPS. I was hoping it would be t-bap or tps, but no codes after cleaning and checking with volt meter. So now I’m stumped. The fact it gets a little better after it warms up has me baffled as well.
