I have a buddy working on my 07 Outlander 650 he said it’s making a funning sound when idling. He also thinks it might need head gaskets.
I did a little reading and it sounds like there was an issue with the timing/cam cam chains and guides on the 07 and older 650s. What exactly needs to be replaced to fix this problem?
He also thinks it might need head gaskets. I was having a little over heating problem that we think was caused by the fan not coming on. I think we’ve got that worked out but when it was running it with the rad cap off he said it would bubble for a few seconds every few minutes. To him this points to the head gasket. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks
Dave
