07 Grizz 700 Shim Mod Went Wrong ??

I have a stock 07 700 that I just put some MSA 14s with mud lite XTR 27s. I’m not a hardcore mudder or anything but I use the quad for hunting and work and so I wanted to give my low end some help turning the larger tires. After a couple nights of research I decided to do the 1.5MM shim mod and the EPI purple spring. My buddy did the 1.5MM shim and purple on his 660 earlier this week and I was extremely dissapointed how much top end he lost so I decided to go with just the purple spring and .5MM shim. So I did the mod (not my first ) and I thought it all went smooth. Fired grizz up and took for a rip and something is definitely not right. I have to hammer the gas to get the thing going. Once I get going about 10 or 15 mph it seems fine but it literally feels like a manual shift quad that’s stuck in 5th gear. I have ZERO bottom end. She tops out at 55mph and seems fine from 15 to 55. My low gear now feels like a high gear to be honest. That shouldn’t be lIke that. Something is clearly not right. Any ideas? I did use an impact to take clutch apart. Could something of got moved around in primary while doing the mod? Rollers? Weight ? I am about to just go back to stock and see if that fixes the issue but I still want the low end help with turning my 27s. Any help or advice is appreciated !
