I’m having a voltage issue with my 05 Sportsman 700 EFI. The battery light and speedo needle blink with the key on. Also, I am only getting about 9 volts of power to the dash and cigarette lighter at the headlight pod, which is causing the dash display to be very hard to read due to the low voltage. I am getting over 12 volts everywhere else, including let’s say the accessory wire for the winch at the front of the quad. I have installed a new battery. I have a repair manual and conducted the numerous tests for the stator and voltage regulator, all checking out fine. I even replaced the voltage regulator on a whim and that did not fix it. I cleaned the grounds bolted to the rear of the frame. The battery is charging fine. I am assuming my battery light blinking and low voltage at the speedo display are related. Does anyone have any recomendations? I am lost!
